Sense Monitoring is a young Polish company with many successes to its credit. It currently protects more than 500,000 m2 of roofs in logistics buildings, factories, shopping malls and sports facilities throughout Poland. Sense Monitoring’s solution is based on sensors installed under the roof and a web application for continuous monitoring of roof structure performance. Such a system can be installed in an existing facility, and the method of measurement does not interfere with the current operation of the building. With Sense S-One it is possible to prevent the effects of overloading due to saturation of wool, water or snow on the roof. The property manager receives a mobile tool which makes his work easier and informs him of the need to react or service the roof. The Sense Smart Roof Platform is based on the Amazon Web Services cloud, the most secure server for data archiving and processing. The launched Smart Roofs for Panattoni Europe will contribute to increased safety at the company’s facilities.

The first joint project of Panattoni Europe and Sense Monitoring will be a building for a logistics industry leader, located near Warsaw. On an area of over 40,000 m2 the roof will be equipped with the Sense S-One system. It will facilitate facility management in terms of inspecting the condition of the roof structure and reduce maintenance costs. It is estimated that the return on the costs of installing the system for continuous monitoring of the roof structure will be covered after one year of the system’s operation. Panattoni Europe provides its clients with the best solutions in building technology, not only at the construction stage, but also for their ongoing maintenance. Therefore, the Sense S-One solution will be offered to those who expect low maintenance costs and modern solutions from their building. For Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director Panattoni Europe: Sense S-One is an excellent example of using modern technology in building management, especially in the case of controlling the roof structure. Its constant monitoring, recording of variables, as well as their analysis – also of the forecasted weather – will not only allow for optimisation of costs resulting from the maintenance of the facility, but also for an early reaction to the changing conditions.

According to Tomasz Dudek, Vice-President of Sense Monitoring: Smart Roofs for Panattoni Europe means meeting the highest demands of the leader in the warehouse market. Our solution brings measurable benefits both to the building owner, its manager and the tenant. It perfectly fits the spirit of Industry 4.0. The increasing number of our installations allows us to believe that with time, roof structure monitoring will become a standard piece of equipment in every large building.
